HUFFPOST misses the point. Strikes against chemical facilities will not save lives. The vast majority of Syrians have been killed, and will continue to be killed, the old fashioned way. The goal is to demonstrate, and not only to the Syrians, that one cannot use outlawed chemical weapons without consequences. Because if that lesson is not obvious, state AND non-state actors will be more likely to invest in, and to use, chemical weapons.
