Russian lawmakers who met with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said the Syrian President was in “good mood” after the United States, France and Britain launched missile strikes on Syria in retaliation for a suspected poison gas attack a week ago.
Russian news agencies on April 15 quoted the lawmakers as saying Assad had praised the Soviet-era air defense systems used by Syria to help to repel the Western attacks.
