Obama says Trump Iran action a “serious mistake”

No one can foresee the future. Time will tell. But as I watched the pundits on CNN and MSNBC tear out their hair this afternoon after the President’s announcement, it struck me that the only way they could be proven to be correct would be if a war broke out in the Middle East, and that was what they were hoping for–conflict!

The same is true for Obama and Kerry. If nothing big happens, they look like jerks. They can only look good, look right, if war breaks out.

Didn’t we recently watch this same game play out with Korea?

Let’s see what happens here. We wouldn’t be in this pickle if Obama and Kerry hadn’t signed the damned deal in the first place.

Former US president Barack Obama made a rare public criticism of his successor Tuesday, describing Donald Trump’s decision to abandon the Iran nuclear deal as “misguided” and a “serious mistake.”

“The reality is clear. The JCPOA is working,” Obama said in a statement, referring to the deal his administration brokered in 2015. “That is a view shared by our European allies, independent experts, and the current US secretary of defense.”

“That is why today’s announcement is so misguided,” he added. “I believe that the decision to put the JCPOA at risk without any Iranian violation of the deal is a serious mistake.”
