Why do we need a deal to prevent Iran from developing a weapon that it’s Supreme Leader Khomenei has rejected with a Fatwa?

The whole Iran deal is based on the assumption that the Iranians, including Khamenei, LIE! If we believed them, we wouldn’t need a deal. If you trust Iranian honesty, Trump’s cancellation of the deal should make no difference.
