Trump: Worship Essential!

US President Donald Trump has declared that churches, synagogues and mosques are ‘essential’ establishments. He ordered governors to allow them to reopen immediately, and threatened to override them if they refuse.

“These are places that hold our society together and keep our people united,”  Trump announced at the White House on Friday, adding that it’s “not right”  that some states have deemed liquor stores and abortion clinics as essential, but mandated that houses of worship remain closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Any governor that has a problem with this can call the president, but will not find understanding, Trump added. If the governors refuse to allow the houses of worship to reopen immediately, this very weekend, “I will override the governors,” he said.

The End of a Free Hong Kong

This is the beginning of the end for a free Hong Kong. It also means that the only way for Taiwan to become a part of China is by force–WAR! Those who deluded themselves to think that the Hong Kong model might be a means for a settlement with Hong Kong, now ought to, but probably will not, see that any deal to preserve multiple politico-economic systems within China is pointless. The leaders and people of Taiwan would have to be fools to believe any guarantees from the CCP. One can only find such fools among Western Progressives.

University Budget Shortfall? Here’s Where to Cut.

If you have to cut at a university, here’s a good place to begin. The average for the 16 institutions of the UNC system is about 16 administrative positions!

–The UNC general administration hired Conduent HR Consulting to create the report, who then presented it during the UNC system Board of Governors’ Committee on Personnel and Tenure meeting on January 25. It exposed a sprawling $16.6 million system-wide diversity apparatus, not including employee benefits. This apparatus includes 198 institution-specific policies, 11 system-wide policies, 527 programs, and 273 salaried positions.–

Just How Many Diversity Employees Does the UNC System Need?
